Now some may object to this blog, thinking that this blog promotes trusting in omens and portents to guide ones life. It does not. Here is what the penny catechism has to say about sins against the first commandment:

182. Does the first Commandment forbid dealing with the devil and superstitious practices?

The first Commandment forbids all dealing with the devil and superstitious practices, such as consulting spiritualists and fortune-tellers, and trusting to charms, omens, dreams, and such-like fooleries.

The purpose of this blog is to point out the fact (based on increased unusual events) that modern man is being punished for its crimes. (its about time). Most of you do not believe in the fact that punishment is sent from on high because you sin. None of you really think about the grave offense you commit against the Blessed Trinity day in and day out. You all have been given a blessing to right things before God by confessing your sins here and now before you die. The confessional box is a necessary tool for salvation. You must confess your sins to a priest - regularly.

Men do not take advantage of the blessing they have been given - acting just like the Jews of old who rejected the blessing given them when the word was made flesh etc...

Since men will not repent God will strike. Read the above words of the Mother of God the Blessed Virgin Mary warning modern men of the evils they face. Please note that the Mother of God tells men that they will suffer for over 35 continuous years! 35 years! When did this dark hour start?

That's where this blog comes in. It's called Evil Portents and Omens to bring to mind the unusual events that have happened recently and will continue to happen one after another for well over 35 years.

This blog has nothing to do with silly superstition but has everything to do with what's to befall man based on the warnings of the Blessed Mother of God, Mary Most Holy.

Relying and believing in omens and superstition is a sin. Signs and unusual events read or used in conjunction with the words of Our Lady at La Salette is not a sin but is wisdom.

Now for what took place within less than one year after the element of air & water in the form of Hurricane Sandy destroyed much of the East Coast in one way or another, then comes the element of fire to destroy what was rebuilt after the destruction wrought by the elements of air and water. Again, strange and unusual events are in store for the lot of us. There will be no escape.

The fire is just another ill omen or evil portent of things to come.
