According to Al-Azhar, in his message the Pope stressed the Vatican’s respect for Islam and said he hoped every effort would be made towards achieving “mutual understanding between the world’s Christians and Muslims in order to build peace and justice.” Al Tayyeb apparently replied that the message Al-Azhar wished to get out is one of “respect for people of every religion and the safeguarding of human dignity and the highest values described in the Quran and the Sunnah.” He also said that Muslims are willing “to collaborate to help justice and progress grow among the people of the Earth.” Vatican Insider Read More>>>>
22 dead - 22 non-Muslims dead. 50 wounded - 50 non-Muslims wounded.Muslim gunmen told all Muslims to leave the shopping center.
In order to prove one was a Muslim one had to recite the Muslim prayer:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar [God is the greatest, God is the greatest]
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
[God is the greatest, God is the greatest]
Ashadu an la ilaha ill Allah
[I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but God]
Ashadu an la ilaha ill Allah
[I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but God]
Ashadu anna Muhammadan rasoolullah
[I bear witness that Muhammad is the prophet of God]
Ashadu anna Muhammadan rasoolullah
[I bear witness that Muhammad is the prophet of God]
Hayya'alas salah [Come to prayer,]
Hayya'alas salah [Come to prayer,]
Hayya'alal falah [Come to success,]
Hayya'alal falah [Come to success,]
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
[God is the greatest, God is the greatest]
La ilaha ill Allah
[There is no deity but God.]
Then one had to recite this:
“In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee (alone) we worship and Thee (alone) we ask for help. Show us the straight path. The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.”
Now, how did one have time to recite the prayers with all the killing going on around them?
Would Pope Francis be pleased knowing that dialogue was attempted at the Mall? A prayerful dialogue?
Maybe the pope wouldn't like the tome of the dialogue but he would like the fact that the Mall incident was a true dialogue between Muslims and non-Muslims alike - here is your chance to learn a Muslim prayer and stay alive.
The Muslims get to dialogue with you (at the point of a gun) and asks you to prayer with him. What could be better? How Vatican II of you!
How could Pope Francis object to the ecumenical prayer event at the Mall?
Pray or die!
I wonder how long it will be before the Pope of peace sends a telegram or offers up some prayer for the non-Muslims in Kenya?
