Power outages wreak havoc on brand-new Second Ave. subway line
Service on the new Second Ave. subway line was knocked out Friday morning.
The third rail at 72nd St. and 86th St. lost power twice — first at 10:30 a.m., then again at 10:50 a.m.
“MTA needs to get their act together & communicate to UES Q train community,” commuter Lauren Smith tweeted from inside a station. “3rd rail power outage w/no MTA reps in sight.” No Q and W trains were running from 57th St.-Seventh Ave. to 96th St. in both directions
